I grew up on the West Coast and in the Okanagan and spent most of my time painting, sketching, and planning Ricochet - a fashion empire of bolero jackets and harem pants.

I studied fine arts in university and then veered off into horticulture, community engagement, and finally into urban and transit planning. Through it all, doing art has always been a constant thread.

I've been known to take my sketchbooks everywhere - to plays, on the airplane, and even to my sister's wedding dress fittings.

I love capturing a moment with a few lines and shapes, or immersing myself in the colour and texture of a piece of fabric. I do art for the joy of finding beauty in simple and unexpected places.
